The Ione Police Department does not endorse the training styles, methodologies, facilities, or techniques used to meet the minimum course requirements by each vendor. The Ione Police Department approved vendors list only consists of individuals and entities who have met the minimum statutory requirements for firearms training and agree to instruct the minimum concealed weapons course training content pursuant to Penal Code Section 26165. Each applicant is responsible for researching and evaluating prospective vendors to determine their suitability. The Ione Police Department does not recommend individual CCW instruction vendors. This site is designed to give general information as well as specific requirements regarding the application process for a carry concealed weapon (CCW) license from the Ione Police Department for those citizens who reside within the Police Department's jurisdiction.Ĭitizens residing in the unincorporated parts of Amador County or the cities of Jackson and Sutter Creek should first apply for their CCW permits through their respective jurisdiction of residence.
